Zero Hours Contract Template
This Zero Hours Contract is ideal when you need a casual worker or intern on a flexible basis i.e. for ad hoc or seasonal work.
Essentially this is a contract with no guaranteed hours (zero hours). You simply offer them work when you have it, and pay them for the hours they work. This person would usually be on your payroll (PAYE).
Examples of work that might require a zero-hour contract might include:
- Bank work (for example, for the NHS)
- Students or interns who can only work during university holidays
- Delivery driving / gig economy work (for example, delivering takeaway food or giving car rides during busy periods)
- Hospitality work e.g waitresses to cover busy periods
- Retail work e.g. pickers, packers etc to handle seasonal high demands.
- Warehouse work
